M
ark Ginther has spent over four decades changing what action looks like on screen. He started his career in the 1980s by performing stunts and acting in films like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. He doubled actors in films like George of the Jungle and worked on major productions, including Transformers, Iron Man, Avatar, Star Wars: A Solo Story, and the Kingsman series. Mark was never just a performer; He quickly became the go-to problem-solver on set.
He built rigs, tools, and equipment to make impossible shots possible. Directors and stunt teams adopted his innovations and became the standard across sets. His inventions of Rigging equipment and complex stunt systems have helped shape modern action sequences’ visual language. As a coordinator and action designer, Mark led planning from pre-vis to final take, ensuring the work stayed safe, cinematic, and on point.
Action Design Inc. was co-founded by Mark in 2014 with Brad Allan to bring together top-tier action creatives worldwide. The company worked with studios like Disney, Marvel, and MARV to deliver advanced stunt choreography, fight coordination, and tech-driven visualization. Mark was one of the pioneers of the “Out of the Box” pipeline when the pandemic disrupted traditional filmmaking. This Unreal Engine-powered virtual workflow allowed teams to design stunts remotely, blending creative freedom with production efficiency.
Mark continues to fuse hands-on stunt experience with cutting-edge tools. Whether directing talent, designing hardware, or building virtual previs systems, he remains a driving force behind how action is imagined and executed. His work isn’t just about impact; it’s about invention, collaboration, and bringing bold ideas to life on screen.
